Ultima Genomics announced that its UG200 Sequencing Platform has been selected to support a large-scale immune profiling study with IMU Biosciences and UK Biobank. The study combines IMU's High Definition Immunology platform, the BD FACSDiscover Cell Analyzer, Waters Corporation's BD Rhapsody single-cell multiomics platform and Ultima's sequencing to add a high-resolution immune data layer and an AI foundational dataset to UK Biobank. The initial cohort is 80,000 blood samples from UK Biobank participants, with the aim of expanding to the full 500,000-participant cohort. The project begins in 2026, and data will be returned to UK Biobank for approved researchers studying how immune variation relates to disease risk, progression, treatment response and health outcomes. The UG200 was validated with BD Rhapsody in February 2026. Press release.

Nabsys announced the launch of RepX, a repeat expansion analysis pipeline available through its Nabsys Navigator cloud platform. RepX analyzes Electronic Genome Mapping (EGM) data generated on the OhmX Platform to study disease-associated repeat expansions, with the potential to analyze up to 23 loci in a single run. EGM examines individual ultra-long DNA molecules without amplification or ligation, letting researchers assess the distribution of expansion sizes and instability within each allele. RepX uses data from the standard OhmX VOLT Whole Genome Kit, so the same dataset can also support genome-wide structural variant and copy number variant analyses. In Navigator, RepX sits alongside the SV-Discover and SV-Verify tools. The products are for research use only. Press release.

Benchling announced Direct Data Share, an integration with Snowflake that keeps scientific data continuously connected between a company's Benchling and Snowflake environments. Experimental data from Benchling lands in Snowflake as ready-to-query tables that refresh in near real time, while instrument, assay, computational and third-party data in Snowflake can flow back into Benchling alongside the related experiments. IT and data teams complete a one-time setup by connecting a Snowflake account, with no custom export pipeline to build or maintain as the scientific data model changes, and admins control who can start syncs and manage connections. Direct Data Share complements Benchling's AI Connectors, launched earlier in 2026, by supporting continuous, large-scale analysis across millions of rows. It is available in public beta to Benchling customers. Press release.

Benchling also launched Science Foundries, which lets R&D teams run scientific processes end to end with AI agents and scientists working together. Teams choose a process or goal, such as producing proteins, optimizing a lead or improving a manufacturing process, and set which steps agents run and where scientists must approve. Agents execute and monitor work, coordinate handoffs and escalate key decisions using shared scientific data and context. In a high-throughput biologics example, a Foundry uses design, cloning, lab and analysis agents to generate sequences, place CRO orders, send instructions to workcells and analyze results overnight. Parabilis Medicines uses Science Foundries for protein production, screening and lead optimization. Benchling customers can set up their own Science Foundries, starting with a focus area and a conversation with Benchling AI. Press release.

ParkourSC has acquired Quartic, combining ParkourSC's clinical and commercial supply chain AI with Quartic's manufacturing AI into a single platform for regulated life sciences and healthcare. The platform links manufacturing data with clinical, distribution and healthcare data to predict which batches, lots and shipments are at risk and recommend actions such as adjusting a process, rerouting a shipment, prioritizing inventory or accelerating release. Deviation, verification, release, excursion, disposition and regulatory documentation are managed in one environment within predefined guardrails. The platform sits above existing MES, LIMS, QMS, historian and logistics systems rather than replacing them. Reported outcomes include cutting fit-for-use disposition decisions from three days to one minute and 15–20% higher batch yields in biologics manufacturing. Financial terms were not disclosed. Press release.

Carterra, a provider of high-throughput surface plasmon resonance (HT-SPR) platforms for antibody and small molecule drug discovery, announced a research collaboration with AstraZeneca to develop hardware and software for lab-in-the-loop drug discovery. In this approach, AI proposes drug candidates, wet-lab experiments test those predictions, and the resulting data refines the next round of AI-guided design. The collaboration addresses a central barrier to applying AI in structural and biophysical drug discovery: the lack of consistent, comparable experimental data at scale. Carterra's engineering and software teams are working with AstraZeneca scientists and automation experts to build lab systems that generate standardized data at scale, along with software that makes that data usable in AI and machine learning workflows. Press release.

PacBio and TychoBio announced a collaboration to generate full-length RNA data that TychoBio, an AI drug discovery company, will use to train models for designing RNA therapies for rare diseases. TychoBio plans to apply PacBio HiFi sequencing and Kinnex long-read RNA sequencing to more than 10,000 samples to build datasets linking the design of steric blocking antisense oligonucleotides (SBOs) to their transcriptome-wide effects, with plans to extend the approach to siRNA and other RNA-targeting compounds. TychoBio will test candidate therapies and use PacBio sequencing to measure how each one changes the transcriptome across multiple cell types. The resulting data will train models to predict which compounds are most likely to work, how long their effects last and where unintended effects may occur. Press release.
