2027 Innovative Practices Awards Call for Entries

October 13, 2026 | Bio-IT World is now accepting entries for the 2027 Innovative Practices Awards, a competition designed to recognize the most exciting partnerships and projects pushing the life sciences industry forward. 

The deadline for entry is March 1, 2027, and the $300 application fee will be waived for entrants who meet the early submission deadline of January 29, 2027. 

For more than two decades, the Innovative Practices Awards have highlighted strategies that can be widely shared and implemented across the industry to improve science quality, pace, and reach. Judged by an independent panel of industry experts, the awards honor the ideas that are accelerating life sciences advancements. 

This year, winners will be announced in mid-May and will be invited to accept their awards during the Thursday, May 20, plenary session at the Bio-IT World Conference & Expo as well as present their winning entries in a special Innovative Practices Award Winners session in Boston later that morning. 

"The best entries have a quality I'd describe as borrowable. Someone solved a problem, documented it honestly, and handed it to the rest of the industry," said Allison Proffitt, Bio-IT World Editorial Director. "That spirit is why this program has lasted more than two decades and why honor the winners at the Bio-IT World Conference & Expo never gets old."
