Customized Biodegradable Polymers Are Available at CD Bioparticles

June 22, 2020

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES - Jun 22, 2020 - With an unrelenting drive in bio-scientific research and industry, CD Bioparticles has been committed to bringing together highly skilled experts with varied backgrounds applicable to research and development of drug delivery. Now, it released a wide range of biodegradable polymers to enrich its product list and better serve global scientists with their related research.

A featured product of CD Bioparticles is Dextran, a complex branched glucan, which can be used in various laboratory uses such as osmotic stress technique for applying osmotic pressure to biological molecules, size-exclusion chromatography matrices, immobilization in biosensors, protecting metal nanoparticles from oxidation as a stabilizing coating. Dextrans and derivatives covering dextrans of amine functionalized, biotin conjugated, aldehyde functionalized, azide functionalized, etc. are all available in CD Bioparticles.

Chitosans are useful in bandages to reduce bleeding and as an antibacterial agent, and they can also be used to help deliver drugs through the skin. CD Bioparticles offers chitosans and derivatives such as biotin conjugated chitosans and Chitin-Glycol. The degree of deacetylation (DDA) of chitosans ranges from 85% to 95% and the water solubility can be adjusted.

Apart from the aforementioned products, CD Bioparticles also provides other biodegradable polymers, including ficolls, heparins, polylactides, alginates, celluloses, hyaluronic acids, oligomeric hyaluronic acids, etc. These products cover wide coverage of the biomaterials with different physical properties, such as Tg, Tm, shear viscosity, Young’s modulus, dielectric constant, matching customized biomaterial processing conditions and the requirements of the final products. In addition, the precise formulation of the polymer components is able to control the degradation time, this being useful for different drug delivery and bio-graft applications

“There may be many problems in the research and development of drug delivery, such as limited options for the bio-conjugation between macromolecules and biomolecules, unpredictable or uncontrollable degradation rate of the drug-loading cargo, biomolecules denatured during the conjugation, and tedious chemical synthesis and purifications.” introduced by Prof. Jeffrey A. Depaul, M.D., the chief scientific officer of R&D department of CD Bioparticles, “and our highly customized products and services can help to transfer today’s challenges into tomorrow’s solutions.”

CD Bioparticles’ products with customized delivery strategies, precise designs and modifications of drugs or drug-contained cargos, and advanced technical platforms can help clients to solve all the possible challenges.
