Ignite Institute Moves to Philadelphia

November 18, 2010 | The Ignite Institute, originally planned for Northern Virginia, appears to be headed instead to Philadelphia and the Fox Chase Cancer Center. In February Bio-IT World published a Q&A with Ignite founder Dietrich Stephan about Ignite's partnership with LIfe Technologies and the planned academic institute in Northern Virginia. In April Inova Health System, the Institute's partner and chief donor, pulled out of the project. The Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia reportedly plans to announce the launch of the Cancer Genome Institute, a joint initiative with Stephan’s team. Washington Business Journal
