March 27, 2012 | The US Supreme Court ordered an appeals court to reconsider its decision upholding two Myriad Genetics gene patents in light of last week's ruling on a diagnostic test (see, Court Rejects Personalized Medicine Patents). Myriad's stock rose on Monday, suggesting that investors are hopeful that because the Supreme Court won't hear the case itself, the patents may stand. New York Times
