By 2015, big data will create 4.4 million IT jobs globally, of which 1.9 million will be in the U.S., Peter Sondergaard, Gartner's head of research, predicts. The downside? Sondergaard expects only a third of those jobs to be filled thanks to a shortage of skilled workers. Computerworld
