Cloud Computing that's Ready for Life Sciences
Over the past decade the embrace of cloud computing by life sciences and healthcare has been comparatively slow. Concerns around security, performance, and regulatory compliance persuaded many organizations the downside risk was greater than the upside potential. Moreover, workable alternatives - based largely on internal data centers and private networks - were available and well understood. Not surprisingly, the cautious life sciences and healthcare (LS&H) community resisted change. Today, that picture has vastly changed.
